The role will call for Serkis to done another motion capture suit again, just like he did for the Lord of the Rings movies and is rumored to be doing for The Hobbit.
Caesar is the leader of the ape rebellion which will supposedly be the climax of the movie.
Serkis joins the cast of James Franco, John Lithgow and Freida Pinto in the prequel/ origin story of the classic Planet of the Apes movies.
Rise of the Apes is scheduled for release June 24, 2011.
